Nokia Kinetic Bendy Phone – Twist it, squeeze it, flex it

Unlike many smartphone manufacturers, Nokia keeps inventing and trying new features rather than simply copying features from another systems. Nokia recently presented their latest experiment – Nokia Kinetic Bendy Phone. Special thing about this phone is, flexibility. Yes, you can twist it, squeeze it or flex it.

Today’s smartphones lets you access it using various gestures on touch screen like tap, swipe, pinch with fingers etc. Kinetic Bendy adds new gestures to this list and thus provides easier way to access your phone. Twist forward to scroll through files and the twisting action controls the speed. The more you twist, the faster you scroll. All this may not sound extraordinary but Im sure, you will feel the real difference when you actually use it by yourself. Trial with common users shows that they prefer to squeeze the phone to receive a call rather than tap on ‘Receive’ button.

Nokia have lot of hopes with this new invention and I must say they are right about it. Some simple use cases could be the countries where you got to wear gloves to survive in cold but can not use touch screen effectively due to rough surface of finger covered glove. Bendy do not have any buttons and that makes it a waterproof device.
