  Apostolos Vellios and Magaye Gueye both scored as Everton snatched a late win at Aston Villa. The Toffees took the lead in the first half when Greek frontman Vellios turned in after good work by Gueye. Villa equalised through Spanish teenager Juan Serrano before the break and the home side dominated the second period until Gueye raced clear in injury time and kept his composure to secure the his side's first win since August. The Toffees' opener came from the game’s first meaningful attack on 13 minutes. Vellios was well placed to bundle home Gueye’s cutback from close range despite Habib Beye’s attempt to scramble it clear. And it was Gueye who continued to be Everton’s best outlet, with his left-wing cross only cleared as far as Jose Baxter who sliced wide from 20 yards. But, from thereon in, Villa seized control and Shkodran Mustafi almost headed in to his own net from Harry Forrester’s teasing left-wing cross. Jordan Graham and Forrester were a handful for Everton right-back Aristote Nsiala and the duo combined in the build-up to Villa’s 34th minute equaliser for Serrano, who pivoted and fired home from close range. The hosts continued to pile on the pressure and would have gone in at the break with the lead but for two fine saves from teenage Toffees custodian Connor Roberts. Firstly, the Everton keeper thwarted Forrester from a tight angle, before pushing away an acrobatic overheard kick from Gary Gardner. And with seconds left in the first-half, Forrester’s low curling drive cannoned off the foot of the post. The momentum remained with Villa after the break but Everton did have chances, notably through Vellios, as he tested Elliot Parish with an ambitious 45-yard volley which the keeper did well to hold. And soon Ellis Deeney made a superb sliding block to take Baxter’s left-wing cut-back out of Gueye’s path. But the Frenchman had the last laugh, latching on to a through ball from Baxter in the third minute of stoppage time before rounding Parish and finishing from the tightest of angles. The problem is Moyes won't give the kids a chance and hasn't all season! The only game Gueye got was against Huddersfield in the carling cup and he looked decent. Velios is a big guy and maybe could give us a physical presence up front. May as well try some of the kids cos there will be no new signings in the summer unless we sell some of our big players
